Multi-Workspace Organization

Isolate contexts by project and keep workflows clean.

1. Plain-Language Definition

Workspaces are isolated environments within StarkLLM. Each workspace has its own dedicated collection of uploaded documents and its own chat history. The Global Knowledge Base is a separate, persistent layer that can be queried from any workspace.

2. Why It Exists

Professionals work on multiple distinct projects simultaneously. A lawyer might be working on three different cases; a developer might be working on two different codebases.

3. What Breaks Without It

If all documents are dumped into a single global bucket, asking 'Summarize the plaintiff's argument' might retrieve data from the wrong legal case, causing dangerous cross-contamination.

4. How StarkLLM Implements It

StarkLLM dynamically creates isolated collections in the ChromaDB backend for each workspace. When you chat, it strictly queries only the collection associated with your active workspace.

5. User-Visible Benefit

Strict context isolation. You have strong assurance that there will be no cross-contamination of ideas, facts, or data between your disparate projects.

6. Practical Example

You switch from your 'Tax Returns 2023' workspace to your 'Python App' workspace. The AI instantly forgets about your taxes and only retrieves context about your code.
